Media Center

Our Media Center is open from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Students will visit the Media Center as a class every other week for research and reference lessons, book checkout, and/or story time.

We have a diverse and contemporary collection of books in both Spanish and English. We are particularly proud of the large collection of Spanish titles. Of course, children love to read new books whenever they can. If you would like to donate books or money for the purchase of new books for our students, please contact Ms. Lacy, our Media Specialist, at 407-249-6340 -ext. 2227.

The Media Center also is the home of the student-run daily TV announcements show called "AM Engelwood." Students broadcast live from the TV studio using the latest in digital cameras, video switchers, character generators, and sound boards. Fourth and fifth graders work as a team and operate all the equipment under the guidance of our Media Specialist, Ms. Lacy.

The Florida Department of Education has an outstanding FREE website that prepares students for the FCAT exam. This website has been developed by the educators who created the FCAT exam, and has been proven to dramatically improve students' scores on the test.

Your log-in is your first letter of your first name and your last name. For example, if your name was Juan Bell, your log- in would be jbell.

Your password is your 8-digit birthday (MMDDYYYY). For example, if your birthday was September 23, 1990, your password would be 09231990.
